The National Fund of Environmental Protection and Water Management (NFOSiGW) which was established in 1989 as a result of the regime transformation in Poland, in cooperation with voivodeship funds for environmental protection and water management is the pillar of the Polish system of financing environmental protection. The basis of the National Fund's operation as a State legal person is the Act on Environmental Protection Law. The mission of the National Fund, according to the NFEP&WM Strategy for 2009-2012, is to financially support undertakings intended for environmental protection and respecting its value, on the basis of the principle of sustainable development included in the constitution. We participate in implementation of the environmental policy of Poland as a source of financing and cooperate, along with the Ministry of the Environment, with commissions of environmental protection at the Sejm and Senate. The National Fund and voivodeship funds provide financial support for projects which contribute to enforcement of Polish obligations resulting from the Accession Treaty and other EU directives. The National Fund also supports activities undertaken by the Minister of the Environment in the scope of meeting Polish obligations resulting from the Climate Convention, Biodiversity Convention, implementing the LIFE+ Financial Instrument, NATURA 2000 and environmental education. Implementing the motto "Fund friendly to beneficiaries", we organise a series of trainings and "open days" for entities applying for financial support from both, the domestic and foreign financial sources. www.nfosigw.gov.pl |

Leviatan Confederation focuses in regional and industry associations more than 3,750 companies employing a total of over 700 thousand people. Leviatan is a member of Komisja Trójstronna ds. Społeczno-Gospodarczych (eng. Polish Chamber of Chemical Industry is the organization representing chemical companies towards domestic and foreign governemnt and non-governemnt organizations.PIPC is the only Polish organization being a member of CEFIC and is authorized to represent chemical industry on international forum.According to its Statute the Chamber is authoized to present its opinions on all regulations as regards functoning of chemical industry in Poland. The Chamber receives projects of such regulations from the Ministry of Economy, Ministry of Environment, Committee for the European Integration and others. Polish Chamber of Chemical Industry has been established in 1988 as voluntary, nonprofit association of chemical companies in Poland. The Institute for Sustainable Development (ISD) is a non-governmental think-thank type organisation which was found in 1990 on the initiative of few members of the Polish Ecological Club. Employers Association Polish Renewable Energy Forum (EA PREF) was established in 2011. Polish Association of Brokers and Investment Advisers (PABIA) is an organization which associates licensed securities brokers and investment advisers. PABIA was created in 1991 by the Law on Public Trading in Securities. In January 1998 PABIA was transformed into a real association, free and independent of any governmental body. However, as it associates the majority of brokers and investment advisers, PABIA is officially recognized by the government and has its representative (advisory vote) in the Polish Financial Supervision Authority (PFSA). The Climate Markets and Investment Association is the voice of the climate, sustainable finance and services community. Governments and policy makers across the world recognise CMIA as a leader among progressive trade associations with regards to incentivising low-carbon and resource efficient investment through market mechanism, pre-compliance markets, or climate and sustainable finance mechanisms. The association works to communicate this expertise to international policy makers, government departments and key law makers to help them develop cost-effective and efficient market based solutions to address climate change and resource scarcity. The CMIA membership worldwide international investment banks, venture capitalists, project developers, technology providers, law firms, consultancies and verifiers. CMIA's membership structure and leadership team provides an ideal base from which to deliver strong consensus messaging on key issues which have a broad industry impact. CMIA is a membership led organisation, with an elected President and Board, beneath which Board-appointed Working Group chairs and regional Heads of Chapters drive the work of the CMIA at a grassroots level. CMIA has an independent secretariat that facilitates working group activities, engages in advocacy on behalf of the membership and works to ensure that the association's work balances the needs and fairly represents all of its diverse membership. www.cmia.net |

Wood-Based Panels Producers Association of Poland was founded in 1992 at the initiative of the Founding Committee which consisted of representatives of the panels industry and of persons connected with the industry. The Association in a relatively short time managed to unite not only all the producers of wood-based panels in Poland but also academic sources connected with the panels industry and companies working for its benefit. During 10 years of its existence the Association has tried to face the needs of its members which are very diversified since the branches of the industry, including plants manufacturing plywood, fibreboards manufactured by wet method, fibreboards manufactured by dry method and particleboards are very characteristic and diversified in their needs. The common feature of the whole industry is undoubtedly the raw material that it utilizes - timber. During those 10 years various ownership changes have happened and some of them are still being implemented. Many plants have been liquidated while new ones have been created. This period has enabled the Association to work out the rules of operation in accordance with the requirements of its members. The Association tries to find joint interests and directions of activities for persons that are competitive to each other. The Association tries to participate in shaping legal regulations and norms regarding environmental protection. www.sppd.pl |
