System monitoringu przewozu towarów wrażliwych, w tym paliw i alkoholi, obowiązuje już od kilku miesięcy. Od 22 września śledzenie dostaw obejmuje również oleje oraz tłuszcze zwierzęce i roślinne. Minister Finansów dołączył je do grupy monitorowanych towarów specjalnym rozporządzeniem. Wnioskowali o to przedsiębiorcy z branży spożywczej, po licznych przypadkach wyłudzeń VAT w handlu tymi olejami. Rozporządzenie przewiduje nałożenie obowiązków związanych z monitoringiem na transporty takich olejów, jeżeli masa brutto przesyłki przekracza 500 kg lub jej objętość przekracza 500 litrów.
