Jorma Myllymaki Jorma Myllymäki, COO, Elenia Oy, Finland
Jorma Myllymäki is the Chief Operating Officer at Elenia Oy which is the second largest electricity distribution system operator in Finland. Jorma is responsible for Elenia Oy’s Network and Customers Unit including customer relations, operations, asset management, network development, network maintenance, distribution automation, smart grid development and regional partnerships. He is also responsible for the health and safety management system of the company as well as the ISO 55001 based asset management system. He is also a Board Member of Elenia Oy and Elenia Palvelut Oy. Jorma has over 25 years experience of electricity distribution and automation. Before joining Elenia Jorma had a long career at ABB in various managerial roles in global distribution automation product business.
Artur Borger Artur Borger, Head of Business Develompent, Fresh Energy, Germany
At Fresh Energy there is electricity with full transparency and guaranteed without additional payments. With Fresh Energy, customers get 100% green power, a free smart meter (Smart Meters) and an app for live visualization of power consumption - even individual household appliances. Based on consumption data Fresh Energy offers innovative added value, which for example can lead to significant electricity savings at the customer. Fresh Energy also offers this solution as a white-label product for energy providers. Artur Borger is Head of Business Development at Fresh Energy. Previously, he was a consultant to the energy industry at Deloitte.
Jozef Modelski Józef Modelski, IUSER Chairman and director of Institute of Radioelectronics WUT, Poland
Józef Modelski since 1973 has been with the Institute of Radioelectronics WUT, holding in sequence all academic positions from teaching/research assistant to tenured professor (1991), and since 1996 has been its director. In 1976/77 he spent over a year in the US as a Fulbright grantee working with the microwave laboratories at the Texas University (Austin), Cornell University (Ithaca) and COMSAT (Clarksburg). In 1985 he visited Germany as a DAAD grantee and in 1986 he joined for 2 years the Braunschweig Technical University (Germany) as a senior scientist. His research interests include the area of: microwave modulators and shifters, dielectric resonators and their applications, integrating waveguide technology and smart antennas. He has published over 300 technical papers, 4 monographs, obtained 9 patents and was supervisor over 20 Ph.D. dissertations. Since 2007 he has been a Member of the Polish Academy of Sciences and Chair of the Committee of Electronics and Telecommunications. Since 2000 has been IEEE Fellow, in 2008 was President of the IEEE Microwave Theory and Techniques Society, in 2009-2010 IEEE Region 8 Director, currently is IEEE Division IV Director-Elect. He has been active in URSI National Committee since 1973.
Dominik Harman Dominik Harman, Project Technical Manager, E.ON Distribuce, Czech Republic
He studied electrical engineering at University of West Bohemian in Pilsen. After finishing studies he started his career at e.on where he works as a Project Technical Manager. He is responsible for projects in area of Smart Metering, communications and smart grids. He is also a member of the project team of our largest smart metering project - SMARAGD.
Evaldas Zibaitis Evaldas Žibaitis, Head of Smart Metering Development Division, ESO, Lithuania
Evaldas joined the company in 2017 and since then working with Smart Metering Development in Lithuania Program. Prior to joining the company, he was working as Project director at engineering consultancy company Adem group, Deputy director in business consulting company Development of the National projects. Has experience working with various EU and other funds/programmes funded projects, Public-private partnership (PPP) projects, Cross-border projects, consultations for clients regarding preparation and implementation of projects, preparation of investment projects, feasibility studies, analysis, evaluations. Worked as a project manager with building design and project management, engineering consultancy projects. Evaldas holds a Master degree in Economics.
Jan Švec, Specialist of Modelling and Analysis Department, ČEZ Distribuce, Czech Republic
He finished master study in 2004 and PhD study in 2009 at the Czech Technical University in Prague, the specialization Electrical power engineering. He worked as an assistant professor at the Department of electrical power engineering at CTU in Prague focused on operation and control of transmission and distribution grids. Since 2017 he has been working in ČEZ Distribuce DSO as a modelling specialist in the strategy division. He deals with calculations, modelling and analyses in distribution grids with focus on integration of advanced elements, technologies and control methods into distribution grids.

Legal advisor (license no. WR-2146, registered by the Wrocław Regional Chamber of Legal Advisors), graduate of the University of Wrocław Faculty of Law, Administration and Economics. Possesses rich experience in areas related to assistance for entities operating on regulated markets, particularly on the energy market (transmission enterprises). Mr Kapułka specializes in civil and administrative proceedings. Rulings handed down in cases he has conducted are published in legal information databases, and verdicts issued by the Supreme Court have led to unification of jurisprudence in transmission easements as relates to permanent usufruct rights. He also boasts experience in assessing the value of transmission easements, which helps avoid costs associated with over-valuation of claims in judicial proceedings. He is fluent in English, including legal English. On multiple occasions he has advised foreign entities establishing and conducting business in Poland. Mr Kapułka is the author of numerous press publications on transmission easements. He is a trusted advisor to companies on the energy market.

Graduate of the Electrical Engineering Faculty at the Warsaw University of Technology. Between 1978 - 1998 employed by the Institute of Power Engineering, Reasearch Institute. Since 1998 working for the Energy Regulary Office, since 2006 the Executive Director in the Department of Tarriffs in the Energy Regulatory Office. Since 1994 he has participated in the legislative works on the Energy Law and secondary legislative. He is a manifold representative of the Regulator to the institutions and organizations of the European Union, including the Council of European Energy Regulators (CEER), the European Regulators' Group for Electricity and Gas (ERGEG), The Directorate General for Energy and Transport (DG TREN), the expert of the International Energy Agency (IEA), and the Energy Regulators Regional Association (ERRA). He has taken part in trainings organized for the energy sector and regulatory institutions in over thirty countries. He is the author of many scientific publications and one patent.

A graduate of the Faculty of Forestry at the University of Agriculture in Poznań. From 1983, he held various functions in the administration of the State Forests, currently he is the Deputy Director for Forest Management at the Regional Directorate of State Forests in Gdańsk. A member of the Scientific Councils of the Bory Tucholskie National Park and the Słowiński National Park. Deputy Chairman of the Regional Council for Nature Conservation in Gdańsk. Chairman of the Forest Consulting Center Program Council. He has extensive experience in local government, in the years 1998-2006 he was the mayor of Brusy town, 2006-2010 deputy director of the Department of Environment, Natural Resources and Forestry in the Office of the Marshal of the Pomeranian Voivodeship, member of the Board of the Association of Polish Cities and Monitoring Committees for implementation of EU national level programs. As part of the International Congress "Smart Metropolia",he is the organizer of the Smart Forest panel "Spatial planning and forests, Gdańsk 2013".

A graduate of master's studies at the Silesian International School of Economics and the Silesian University of Technology. Since 2013 engaged in R&D and innovation management especially in areas of smart grids, e-mobility and energy storage in the international environment in energy sector. Member of the Steering Committee of the project "Advanced Metering Infrastructure Data Management Platform" implemented by the consortium of TAURON Dystrybucja and Future Processing (co-funded within Sectoral Programme PBSE, Operational Programme Smart Growth 2014-2020).

A graduate of master's studies at the Silesian University of Economics and Management at the Harvard Business School. She has extensive experience in IT project and product management. Since 2015 engaged in innovation project management in areas of data management at power & utilities. She successfully launched on market Smart Flow – software system used for monitoring waterworks infrastructure parameters and finding water losses. One of Project Managers of the project "Advanced Metering Infrastructure Data Management Platform" implemented by the consortium of TAURON Dystrybucja and Future Processing (co-funded within Sectoral Programme PBSE, Operational Programme Smart Growth 2014-2020).
Peter Frisch Peter Frisch, Sales Director Central and Eastern Europe, S&T Smart Energy, Austria
We at S&T Smart Energy, an S&T Group company, deal with solutions for Smart Metering, Smart Grids, Advanced Distribution Management, Virtual Power Plants and Micro grids. Peter has a background of more than 20 years in various sales and project management functions in the IT- and Communications Technology market (Nortel Networks) and more than 10 years of experience on Smart Metering, Smart Grids and Energy Management in the utility sector working for Consulting Companies (Devoteam Consulting), System Integrators (S&T and T-Systems) and Vendors (Networked Energy Services Corp.). He has been involved during the last 10 years in several Smart Metering projects in Austria, Switzerland and Eastern Europe so he were able to get a deep knowledge on different communication technologies, market requirements and country regulations. Peter were also able to get insights how utilities implemented different advanced meter infrastructure, use cases and processes to create value out of their smart meter implementations.
Miguel Diaz Rodriguez Miguel Díaz Rodriguez, Head of Smart Metering Division at Minsait, An Indra Company
Miguel Díaz Rodríguez holds a bachelor's degree in Computer Science from the Polytechnic University of Madrid. He has been working in the Energy industry since 2006, when he began as a Smart Metering Consultant in IT projects for the Spanish TSO (REE), and for main Spanish Utilities, such as Gas Natural Fenosa or Enel-Endesa (Distribution and Retail). From 2010 and for 8 years, he has been the head of the Smart Metering Division at Minsait, an Indra company, in charge of overall deployments of IT systems for Utilities mainly in the Smart Metering area, both at the national and international level, focusing on Advanced Metering Infrastructures, Energy Efficiency, Data Analytics, Big Data and Business Intelligence. In his current position in the Smart Metering Division within Minsait, he is the Product Owner of the Onesait Metering suite of products (Meter Data Capture, Meter Data Management and Energy Control and Losses), the portfolio encompassing all systems and products for Transmission, Retail and Distribution companies. He has developed and consolidated a wide knowledge and expertise working in multidisciplinary ICT environments, leading large groups of people worldwide. Some of the most important implementations completed are: the deployment and configuration of Meter Data Management for UTE (Uruguayan TSO) for managing 1.5 Million customers, E-GRID for Gas Natural Fenosa, Meter Data Management for 3.7 million customers, Meter Data Management for ESCOM (Malawi) , Meter Data Collection and Data Management for Luz Del Sur (Peru) and Meter Data Management for Electrodunas and Distriluz (Peru). In addition to this, he is currently in charge of other on-going important projects such as ENEA Operator (Poland) for 2.5 Million customers, and KRG (Kurdistan) for 1.5 Million customers.
Jacek Kozbial Jacek Koźbiał, Director of Electricity Metering Systems, Mikronika, Poland
Graduated of the Wrocław University of Technology, faculty of Electronics, field of study: Telecommunications. Since 1988, he professionally has been engaged in construction and deployment of equipment and systems supporting the distribution of electrical energy. Since 1999 he has been working in the company Mikronika as Director of Electricity Metering Systems.
