European Commission, DG Energy
The Directorate-General for Energy is one of 33 policy-specific departments in the European Commission. It focuses on developing and implementing the EU's energy policy – secure, sustainable, and competitive energy for Europe. The Directorate-General for Energy is responsible for developing and implementing a European energy policy under the political guidance of the European Commission Vice-President for Energy Union Maroš Šefčovič and Climate Action and Energy Commissioner Miguel Arias Cañete.
The Directorate General develops and implements innovative policies aimed at:

  • contributing to setting up an energy market providing citizens and business with affordable energy, competitive prices and technologically advanced energy services
  • promoting sustainable energy production, transport and consumption in line with the EU 2020 targets and with a view to the 2050 decarbonisation objective
  • enhancing the conditions for safe and secure energy supply in a spirit of solidarity between EU countries ensuring a high degree of protection for European citizens

PSE S.A. is the national Polish transmission system operator, whose main responsibility is providing electricity transmission services, while maintaining the required safety criteria for the operational standards of the National Power Grid (KSE). Main objectives of PSE S.A. include:

  • Ensuring the safe and economical operation of the National Power Grid as part of the European electricity network, including synchronous and asynchronous connections
  • Ensuring the necessary development of the national transmission network and cross-border connections
  • Creation of technical infrastructure for the operation of the national wholesale electricity market.



The General Inspectorate for Personal Data Protection (GIODO) controls and supervises matters that relate to the collection and processing of personal data.
The institution is entitled to:

  • checking compliance of data processing with the provisions on the protection of personal data
  • issuing administrative decisions and considering complaints with respect to implementation of the provisions on the protection of personal data
  • keeping a register of data files and registry administrators of information security, as well as providing information on the registered data sets and registered administrators of information security
  • opinions on laws and regulations concerning the protection of personal data
  • initiating projects to improve the protection of personal data
  • participating in the work of international organizations and institutions dealing with the protection of personal data


Enel nowe

Enel is an Italian multinational manufacturer and distributor of electricity and gas. Enel, which originally stood for National Entity for Electricity (Ente nazionale per l'energia elettrica), was first established at the end of 1962. In 1999, following the liberalization of the electricity market in Italy, Enel was privatized. Currently, the Italian government is the owner of 25.5% of the company's shares. Enel employs over 70,000 people, operates in about 30 countries, with 80.5 billion euro of revenue and a market capitalization of 31 billion euro.


fortum Fortum is a Finnish energy company focusing on the Nordic and Baltic countries, India and Russia. Fortum operates power plants, including CHP plants, and generates and sells electricity, heat and steam. In addition, it has shares in gas companies GASUM in Finland and Eesti Gaas in Estonia. The company also provides other energy related services and products.
Fortum's vision is to be the forerunner in clean energy. We provide our customers with electricity, heat and cooling as well as other energy solutions that improve present and future life. Already 64% of our electricity generation is CO2 free.



50Hertz Transmission GmbH operates the transmission grid in the northern and eastern part of Germany. As a part of the European Grid it is directly connected to neighbor countries such as Poland, Czech Republic and Denmark. 50Hertz coordinates the interaction of all players of the electricity market in the federal states of Berlin, Brandenburg, Hamburg, Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, Saxony, Saxony-Anhalt and Thuringia. 50Hertz is responsible for the operation, maintenance, planning, and expansion of the energy transmission grid throughout the northern and eastern part of Germany. The grid covers an area larger than 109,360 km² and it is the technical backbone that reliably supplies power to around 18 million people.


encs The European Network for Cyber Security (ENCS) is a non-profit member organization that brings together critical infrastructure stake owners and security experts to deploy secure European critical energy grids and infrastructure. Founded in 2012, ENCS has dedicated researchers and test specialists who work with members and partners on applied research, defining technical security requirements, component and end-to-end testing, as well as education & training.


EDF-logo Électricité de France S.A. (EDF) is a French electric utility company, largely owned by the French state. Headquartered in Paris, France, EDF operates a diverse portfolio of 120+ GW of generation capacity in Europe, South America, North America, Asia, the Middle East and Africa. EDF is one of the world's largest producer of electricity:
  • nuclear: 64.3%;
  • renewable energy: 12.3% (includes 4.6% hydroelectricity);
  • gas: 8.6%;
  • coal: 14.5%;
  • other: 0.3%
EDF specialises in electricity, from engineering to distribution. The company's operations include the following: electricity generation and distribution; power plant design, construction and dismantling; energy trading; and transport. It is active in such power generation technologies as nuclear power, hydropower, marine energies, wind power, solar energy, biomass, geothermal energy and fossil fuel energy.



Elektrilevi OÜ is the largest Estonian distribution network operator, supplying electricity to almost all households and companies in Estonia, apart from Lääne county, Viimsi or Narva. The company maintains and repairs almost 61,000 kilometres of power lines and more than 23,000 substations, providing power to almost 497,000 customers across Estonia.

Their activity is not limited geographically to the area of Krakow and Malopolska, providing legal assistance throughout the country as well as abroad. In addition to headquarters in Krakow the firm also has offices in Gliwice, opened due to the significant number of customers operating in the regions of Górnego and Dolnego Śląska. The law firm Polowiec i Wspólnicy sp.j. is a partner of the Economic Forum in Krynica, and a member of the Chamber of Industry and Commerce in Krakow, as well ass co-operator of the Katowice Special Economic Zone. In the course of its pro bono activities the legal office cooperates with the Foundation for Legal Offices based in Warsaw participating in the Foundation's Program - Center for Pro Bono.


Tauron Dystrybucja TAURON Group is one of the largest corporations in Polish energy sector and one of the largest energy holdings in Central and Eastern Europe. The company works in all areas of the energy system - from coal extraction, through energy generation, distribution and sale of electricity and heat. TAURON Distribution S.A. is one of the leading entities of the TAURON Group, providing electricity distribution services for over 5.3 million customers. It operates a distribution network representing 25% of the entire power grid in Poland.


Energa ENERGA is one of the four largest national energy groups in Poland. The core business is the distribution, manufacture and trading of electricity and heat. ENERGA supplies over 2.9 million individual and business customers with electricity. ENERGA manages the distribution network that covers an area of nearly 75,000 km2, which is about 24% of the national power grid.


innogyse Innogy SE is an established European energy company. With its three business areas of Renewables, Grid & Infrastructure and Retail. The distribution systems form the backbone of the energy transition. The grids play a key role in integrating weather-dependent and intermittently generated renewables (like wind or solar power) and the output of decentralised generators to ensure security of supply. Four fifths of the innogy distribution system currently consist of power lines and one fifth of gas pipelines. The system currently spans five countries.The company is dedicated to developing so-called “smart grids” or efficient and intelligent monitoring and control systems.
Innogy currently supplies reliable energy at a fair price to around 16 million power customers and seven million gas customers in eleven European countries. Based on our sales or the number of customers, we are currently one of the biggest providers of power and gas in Germany, the Netherlands and the United Kingdom. pimot PIMOT is a research institute directly subordinate to the Minister of Economy.
In general, the Institute performs scientific, research, and development work in the field of automotive industry problems.
The basic Institute's activities are conducted in the field of natural sciences, engineering, and biotechnology and they include:
  • Carrying out of scientific studies and research and development work;
  • Adaptation of outputs of the scientific studies and research and development work to practical application needs;
  • Implementation of outputs of the scientific studies and research and development work.


veolia Veolia Energia Warszawa S.A. manages one of the largest district heating network in the EU, supplying system heat and hot water to 80% of buildings in Warsaw, Poland. Since October 2011 it is part of the international Veolia Group. Intelligent Heating Grid is a key investment of Veolia Energia Warszawa S.A., which aims to support and improve the management of the heating network in Warsaw. Within the framework of the project, the district heating network will be equipped with modern infrastructure, allowing for monitoring and integrated management of individual elements. The applied technologies will allow to remotely control the operation of three pumping stations, 79 heat chambers and 2500 heating nodes. The Intelligent Heating Grid will reduce carbon dioxide emissions by at least 14,500 tons per year

Mikronika MIKRONIKA was established in 1983 by a group of former employees of Automation Systems Research and Development Centre, company associated with MERAMONT Poznań.
