ncbr eng The National Centre for Research and Development is the implementing agency of the Minister of Science and Higher Education. It was appointed in the summer 2007 as an entity in charge of the performance of the tasks within the area of national science, science and technology and innovation policies. When if was founded, it was the first entity of this type, created as the platform of an effective dialogue between the scientific and business communities.
Currently, it operates under the Act on National Centre for Research and Development dated 30 April 2010 (Journal of Laws from 2010, No. 96 item 616). The science reform adopted in the autumn 2010 gave the Centre more freedom to manage its financial assets, within the scope of a strategic research programme.
In addition, the National Centre for Research and Development extended its activity with new initiatives and possibilities on 1 September 2011. Assigned by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education the function of the Mediation Institution in three operational programmes: Human Capital, Innovative Economy and Infrastructure and Environment, the Centre became one of the greatest innovation centres in Poland.
The activity of the Centre is funded by the national treasury and the European Union.

gieraltowice Located in the Gliwice county, Gierałtowice commune is the founder of the energy cluster, in which amongst others Jastrzębska Spółka Węglowa SA has got involved. The planned production of renewable energy is supposed to supplement methane cogeneration recovered from a nearby mine. The Institute of Projects and Analyzes, the National Energy Conservation Agency and Control Process as a coordinator of the cluster are also involved in the creation of the "Gierałtowice Mining and Agriculture Energy Cluster" (Klastra Energii Górniczo-Rolniczej Gminy Gierałtowice). The future plans include construction of photovoltaic power plants, biogas plants, energy storage and charging infrastructure for electric cars, and also theaforementioned cogeneration sources based on methane recovered from mines.

ecopower Ecopower is an energy cooperative from Flanders, Belgium. It was established in 1991. It has got 50 thousand members and 5 million Euros in equities. It produces energy from wind (35MW), PV (5,4MW), small hydro (100kW), and micro cogeneration on vegetable oil. It also supports wind production of REScoops in Wallonia. It is one of the leading members of European Federation of Renewable Energy Cooperatives (REScoop.eu).

arrowhead The Arrowheadprogram is addressing efficiency and flexibility at the global scale by means of collaborative automation for five application verticals. That means production (manufacturing, process, energy), smart buildings and infrastructures, electro-mobility and virtual market of energy. The objective of the Arrowhead project is to address the technical and applicative challenges associated to cooperative automation:
  • Provide a technical framework adapted in terms of functions and performances,
  • Propose solutions for integration with legacy systems,
  • Implement and evaluate the cooperative automation through real experimentations in applicative domains: electro-mobility, smart buildings, infrastructures and smart cities, industrial production, energy production and energy virtual market,
  • Point out the accessible innovations thanks to new services,
  • Lead the way to further standardization work.

Geotermia Podhalanska
Energy cluster "Serce Podhala"was established in May 2017. Agreement establishing a joint initiative of the Szaflary county and PEC Geotermia Podhalańska S.A. was signed by Rafał Szkaradziński the head of the county and Wojciech Ignacoka the chairman of the board. "Serce Podhala" will operate within the cluster of energy "Zielone Podhale". Its purpose is:
  • improving local energy security and security of electricity and heat,
  • strengthening local economy by optimizing the use of locally available energy resources in the form of renewable energy sources and other pro-efficiency measures,
  • improvement of the local environment, with particular emphasis on air quality,
  • integrating companies and institutions into activities aimed at economic development of the region and realizing common interests of Cluster of Energy,
  • raising environmental awareness and implementing and consolidating renewable energy production standards consistent with the idea of sustainable development and high energy efficiency, including the promotion of environmental solutions,
  • increasing the use of natural geothermal energy by expanding the district heating network as well as installing heat pumps,
  • development of the gas network in Poland - construction of new gas networks or creating an alternative gas supply to the county,
  • island networks, implementation of low emission reduction programs - elimination of low-impact solid fuel installations and assembly of solar panels and PV panels,
  • strengthening the image of the Szaflary County as a sustainable environment, thus boosting the tourism industry.

zew niedzica The coordinator of Czorsztyn Reservoir Cluster (Klaster Energii Zbiornika Czorsztyńskiego) is the Hydropower Plant of Niedzica S.A. The members of the cluster are: Podhalańskie Przedsiębiorstwo Komunalne Sp., Czorsztyn County, Łapsze Nizne County, Nowy Targ County. The organization's ambition is to become one of the nation's leading energy clusters. The Czorsztyn Reservoir will become an innovation center in the future. The cluster's assumptions are to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by at least 20% by 2020, increase renewable energy's share of final energy use by 20% by 2020, and increase energy efficiency. In addition, at the local level, the cluster aims to improve local energy security, increase energy efficiency by local businesses, integrate businesses and institutions into economic development, raise environmental awareness, and strengthen the image of Czorsztyn Reservoir as a green economy.

Kraina Jeziorki Kraina Jeziorki Cluster was founded on September 19, 2017 by Piaseczyno Mayor, Arkadiusz Strzyżewski - Vice-Mayor, Anna Bednarska - Representative of Mayor of Piaseczno County, Dariusz Zych - Representative of Polish Biomass Producers Association, Bartłomiej Steczowicz - Now Energia and Małgorzata Mróz - IEN Energy Sp. o o.o. Through joint cooperation it aims at a radical improvement of the air quality in the area, and reduction of emissions, balancing energy demand, using the potential of local renewable energy sources, implementing projects in the field of e-mobility and eco-energy education. The initiative will decide the direction of energy development, investments and energy costs in the area of the Cluster.
slupski klaster bioenergetyczny The idea of the Słupsk Energy Cluster project is based in the idea of combining the common interests of producers, prosuments, and consumers of energy, who could use their energy potential within the local heating and / or power grid. In the area of sewage treatment plant "Wodociągi Slupsk", Engie Energetyka Cieplna and Slupsk Special Economic Zone there are several large energy consumers, such as water park, fishery industry, as well as biogas, wind and distributed generation. There is also a large amount of waste energy coming from refrigeration and cogeneration facilities, which can reasonably be exploited within its own local distribution network. Słupsk Energy Cluster will use cluster’s potential to meet the new energy efficiency requirements of the industrial and communal sectors.

Poludniowo-Zachodni Klaster Energii Południowo-Zachodni Klaster Energii (The South-West Energy Cluster) was established by the representatives of the local governments of the Zgorzelec district, two companies from the PGE Group and ten local companies and institutions. Południowo-Zachodni Klaster Energii aims at advancement of the local energy security by ensuring economic efficiency and improving the environment, in particular air quality. The project will take into account local characteristics and the need to stimulate regional development through the use of locally available energy resources, for example high-efficiency cogeneration and renewable energy sources.
Ochotnica Dolna commune is the co-ordinator and lead partner of the Energy Cluster Wirtualna Zielona Elektrownia Ochotnica, established on 28 September 2017r. In addition, the members of the cluster are the residents of the commune, entrepreneurs, organizational units of the municipality, and other entities in the municipality holding RES. Advisory body is the Green Podhale Cluster (Klaster Zielone Podhale) and the AGH University of Science and Technology in Cracow. In the first stage of the project it is planned to expand the installation of solar panels, to construct a biogas plant at the sewage treatment plant, to add the monitoring of existing RES, to construct e-mobility infrastructure, and to organize a free municipal transport based on electric cars. In the next stages, the system will be enlarged by further extending the RES, adding energy storage, searching for other power sources, and improving the infrastructure.
renewables-grid The Renewables Grid Initiative, was launched in July 2009, as a unique collaboration of NGOs and TSOs from across Europe. The organization promotes transparent, environmentally sensitive grid development to enable the further steady growth of renewable energy and the energy transition. RGI members originate from a variety of European countries, consisting of TSOs from Belgium (Elia), France (RTE), Germany (50Hertz and TenneT), Italy (Terna), the Netherlands (TenneT), Spain (Red Eléctrica de España), Switzerland (Swissgrid) and Norway (Statnett); and NGOs such as WWF International, BirdLife Europe, Fundación Renovables, Germanwatch, Legambiente, the Royal Society for the Protection of Birds (RSPB), Climate Action Network (CAN) Europe and Natuur&Milieu.

pime The Polish Chamber of Energy Storage is a non-governmental organisation established in 2016. The existence and activity of the Chamber is based upon the provisions of the Law on Associations. The Chamber was established by a group of parties interested in the introduction of the energy storage technology in Poland. It is the only organisation in the country campaigning for the establishment of an appropriate legislative framework that would allow energy industry utilising the energy storage technology to develop. The Chamber brings together leading players on the Polish energy market, such as producers, distributors and recipients of energy, as well as Polish and foreign developers and manufacturers of energy storage systems. The Chamber supports and promotes development of the energy storage technology and, through the joint efforts of its members, aims to bring about favourable conditions for investing in energy storage systems in Poland and a systematic increase in the use of energy from storage systems, and in particular to improve energy security by way of increasing the predictability and controllability of renewable energy sources with the use of energy storage systems as a buffer between the unstable energy source and the energy grid. Wodociagi Polskie The Polish Waterworks Chamber of Commerce is the only organization of economic self-government in the water and sewage sector in Poland. Established on September 14, 1992, today it brings together 487 water and sewage market enterprises. The head office is located in Bydgoszcz. The Chamber strives to create favourable conditions for the functioning of the water and sewage sector. Representatives and experts of the Chamber interpret and evaluate current regulations on an ongoing basis, monitor change proposals, participate in the creation of industry law and introduce solutions to improve the functioning of the industry. The Chamber conducts consulting, training and publishing activities. He represents the interests of its members on the national forum, especially in relation to state and local government bodies. One of the basic tasks is also acting for the protection of the environment.

piit Polish Chamber of Information Technology and Telecommunications (PIIT) was established in January 1993.
The Chamber operates under the Law on Chambers of Commerce (dated to 30th May 1989) and "is entitled to express opinions and assessments of implementation and operation of the legislation on business" and "The competent authorities of state administration chambers of commerce provide information necessary to perform their statutory objectives. " The Board has the right to lobby on economic matters relevant to the sector and telecommunications.
Chamber members are enterprises with business activity in the ICT sector - telecommunications and information technology. Currently the Chamber is associating over 150 companies which are represented by their representatives.
The highest authority is PIIT General Assembly, meeting at least once a year in the first quarter of the year. Elected bodies of the Chamber are: the Council of Chamber, the Audit Commission and the Court of Arbitration. The Executive Board and the Chairman ( elected by General Assembly) are in charge of the Chamber management.
The Chamber can boast about significant achievements. For companies request, we explain and suggest changes (often successfully) in a numerous laws and regulations concerning legislation: tax, duty, certification, copyright and public procurement law as well as telecommunications law. Will also help companies directly in the issues which are essential for them and for the environment. There is also the Court of Arbitration for Internet domains connected to the Chamber.
In the political and administrative environment, the Board has a reputation of a reliable and constructive partner in discussions and negotiations. This position is continually consolidating and expanding. Consistently operate at the equitable business environment for all the units in a clear interpretation of laws. Currently, through the organization DIGITALEUROPE we can observe and actively engage in the work of the European Commission in matters related to the ICT market. We are also active internationally as a member of WITSA.
We are also promoting Polish ICT market and companies operating on it. We co-organised the Congress of Polish. We take over the patronage of the most important ICT events. Our success was the introduction of several Polish at CeBIT trade show in the 90's. We supported partners in other markets - Ukraine and recently also in China We cooperate with similar organisations overseas, and sales offices abroad and offices in foreign embassies in Poland.

psem Polish Electromobility Association (PSEM) was established on the 7th of December 2016 in order to create the optimal conditions for the electromobility development in Poland. Our activities concentrate on promotion and supporting initiatives focused on the dynamic development of electromobility, as well as the collaboration with the public national and regional authorities, state and social organisations, enterprises as well as other entities acting or planning to be active in this sector.

uke The President of the UKE (Office of Electronic Communications) is the national regulatory authority for the market of telecommunications and postal services. The President of the UKE is also the specialised authority in the area of equipment conformity assessment, including telecommunications terminal equipment and radio equipment.

The specific duties of the President of the UKE include, inter alia:
  • the performance of tasks related to the regulation and supervision of telecommunications services' markets, spectrum management, orbital and numbering resources, as well as the enforcement of compliance with electromagnetic compatibility requirements;
  • intervening in matters related to the functioning of the market for telecommunications and postal services, the equipment market and the settlement of disputes between telecommunications undertakings;
  • co-operation with domestic and international telecommunications and postal organisations, other competent national authorities, the European Commission and Community institutions, as well as other NRAs;
  • co-operation with the President of the Office for Competition and Consumers Protection in matters related to the enforcement of the rights of parties using postal and telecommunications services, and with the National Broadcasting Council.
