#orangegoesgreen. Defining purchasing strategy. Implementation methods. Orange Polska has signed the first physical cPPA contract for two wind farms in Poland. The contract provides for the supply of approximately 500 GWh of green electricity over a 10-year period. Two wind farms built and operated by WPD (5 MW for Jarocin East and 10 MW for Krotoszyn) for this PPA will begin to supply decarbonised electricity to Orange Polska in January 2021. They will provide a total of 50 GWh per year for Orange Polska's operations. Energy from new windmills will flow to 18,000 facilities in the Orange infrastructure, such as mobile telephony base stations or access cabinets located on city streets. The investment will satisfy almost 10 percent of the operator's energy requirements.
Speakers: Łukasz Wyłuda, Global Energy Category Leader, Orange Polska Daniel Piechocki, Director of Network and IT Resource Management, Orange Polska
