New law for the energy sector - Small "three-pack"

A small energy "three-pack" - amendment to the Act of Energy Law against the requirements of EU energy directives, is an initiative of the Polish Government which is to save Poland from penalties for delay implementation of EU regulations on the energy sector. At the assumption is also to be a way of extending the regulatory uncertainty in the energy sector, which began in 2011, following the announcement by the Ministry about package of three laws (Energy Law, RES and Gas Law). While for the big "three-pack" Polish industry will have to wait longer, small one, which is processed independent has come to the Polish legal system in April 2013. It will introduce a number of changes that radically alter the existing regulatory and legal system in the operation of renewable energy, CHP and the electricity and gas. Soon, small "three-pack" will be approved by the Goverment Commission of Economy and then will be put to a vote by the Parliament and the Senate. As announced by the Government and the Ministry of Economy, the approval of these regulations is an absolute priority. It will be signed in April and will enter the legal system already in May to sort out the chaos in the energy market.
