Emmanuel Desplechin, Secretary General at ePURE will give an opening lecture during the second edition of the seminar "Biofuels - law, market, trends", which will take place on February 18, 2020 in Warsaw. In his presentation "The role of ethanol in achieving the European climate and energy goal" he will discuss the EU policy framework, its progress so far as well as the impact on the ethanol and gasoline market from a commercial perspective.Emmanuel leads the ePURE team, which he first joined in 2013 as Director of Government Affairs responsible for energy and environmental affairs. Before coming to ePURE, Emmanuel was Senior Manager for Public Affairs with Novozymes. His career in public affairs and advocacy also includes positions with UNICA, the Brazilian Sugarcane Industry Association, and the Industrial Ethanol Association. He holds a Master's Degree from the Institute of Political Studies of Bordeaux and an LL.M in European Law from the University Carlos III of Madrid.
