Wojciech Stawiany Wojciech Stawiany, Advisor at The NFOŚIGW (National Fund for Environmental Protection and Water Management), Poland

He graduated from the Faculty of Chemistry, University of Technology in Śląsk. In his professional activity since 1989 he tackles the issue of ecology, engineering and environmental monitoring. Mr. Stawiany implemented the project " Environmental Management Strategy" of the World Bank for the protection of air and other environmental projects in the industry, in collaboration with EPA / USA in the "Silesia - Katowice - Ostrava" as a Director of the Centre for Research and Environmental Control and Regional Coordinator of environmental monitoring in the region of Katowice in years 1989 - 2003. While working at the National Fund (2003 - 2005) he led the issues of Sectoral Operational Programme "Increase of Economic Competitiveness" through actions in their infrastructure aimed at reducing the impact on the environment. In the years 2005 - 2007 Wojciech Stawiany was the Chief and Deputy Chief Inspector of Environmental Protection. Since 2008 he has been a consultant to the National Fund for Environmental Protection tackles the issue of climate protection - efficiency and improve of energy efficiency (Including smart grids), clean coal technology and associated with these activities environmental and energy effects.
Marta Gurin Marta Gurin, Scientific and Technical Officer, Confederation of European Waste-to-Energy Plants (CEWEP), Belgium

Marta Gurin is the Technical and Scientific Officer at CEWEP – Confederation of European Waste-to-Energy Plants. Her field of responsibility includes environmental assessment of waste management systems (such as Life Cycle Assessment), energy resources and climate protection, as well as technical aspects of Waste-to-Energy technology. Marta Gurin joined CEWEP following an internship in the European Commission DG Energy where her work was focused on energy efficiency. She holds a degree in Environmental Engineering from the faculty of Environmental Engineering in Warsaw University of Technology, Poland.
Vitalijus Zuta Vitalijus Zuta, Managing Director, UAB Fortum Heat Lietuva, Lithuania
Mr. Vitalijus Zuta is Managing Director of UAB "Fortum Heat Lietuva" since 2005. During his whole career he was taking many different positions at Vilnius Power Plant (from being an engineer up to Chief of the Personal Department) at the same time being a adviser for energy problems at the office of Lithuanian Government. In years 1995-2000 Mr. Zuta was deputy director at Joint Stock Company "Lietuvos energija", subsidiary TENA, where he was responsible for procurement, implementation and disbursement of 10,0 ML USD the World Bank Loan for "Power rehabilitation project" of Lithuanian Power Plant in Elektrėnai. Between 2000 and 2005 he was at the position of Technical Director at CJSC "Suomijos energija". He continues his international activity at UAB "Fortum Heat Lietuva". During Mr. Zuta management waste-to-energy plant was build in Klaipeda Lithuania. That new CHP plant is the first waste-to-energy plant in the Baltic countries to be used with waste and biomass. The plant is managed by Fortum. Mr. Zuta has a diploma (engineer) heat energy from Kaunas Technical University . He speaks good english and excellent Russian.

Piotr Miklis Piotr Miklis, Director, Najwyższa Izba Kontroli (Supreme Audit Office), Katowice Delegacy, Poland
Since 1996, he held a number of positions in the structures of the Supreme Audit Office. In the years 1996 - 1998 r Specialist of state control, later (years 2001- 2007 ) Economic Adviser in Katowice Delegacy. In 2007-2009, he served first as Vice President and than as a Director of the Opole Delegacy. From October 2009 to June 2010 he served as Director of Wrocław Delegacy. In the years 1999 - 2001 he was Secretary of the Tarnogórskie District. He received the Silver Cross of Merit for his professional achievements in the SAO (2004) and a special prize of the SAO President (2003-2013). Mr., Miklis graduated of the Jagiellonian University in Krakow and the National School of Public Administration in Warsaw. He also complete post-graduate studies based on the structure of the Master of Business Administration at the School of Economics in Warsawand the Central Mining Institute in Katowice, as well as post-graduate studies "Internal audit and financial control" of the Academy of Economics in Katowice. He ha an auditor application of SAO. Graduate of numerous courses and specialized training. Author of articles and papers published in the Bulletin of Civil Service and expertise to the Ministry of Finance.
Tadeusz Arkit Tadeusz Arkit, Member of Parliament, Chairman of the Permanent Subcommittee on Monitoring of Waste Management, Poland
Tadeusz Arkit was born in 1955 in Tenczynek. He received his diploma of mining engineer from the Academy of Mining and Metallurgy in Krakow. In years 1982 - 1994 Mr. Arkit has worked in KWK „Janina" as a foreman. Since 1994 he's associated with the local governement, first as a councilor and later as a Vice Mayor. Between1998 and 2007 he served as Mayor of Libiąż. In the local elections he started as a with a list of the Municipal Formations „Nasza Gmina Libiąż 2000 Plus". Since 2003 he's a Chairman of the District Board of the Platforma Obywatelska in Chrzanów. As Mayor of Libiąż consistently led efforts to improve the image of the city and the construction of "the market", successfully enlisted the EU subsidies for municipal investments.
Tadeusz Arkit currently serves as Chairman of the Parliamentary Sub-Committee to waste management monitoring. He also took an active part in the work on the amendments to the mining and geological law and also co-wrote the law on municipal waste management (video: "Wreszcie jest ustawa śmieciowa".

A Lawyer, graduate from the Faculty of Law and Administration at the University of Szczecin. He has many years of experience in the management of entities in public finance sector. Since 2011 Mr. Lachowicz is a chairman of the Board at Zakład Unieszkodliwiania Odpadów Spółki z o.o. which is responsible for implementation of the largest investments in the region, construction of Waste Incineration Plant for Szczecin Metropolitan Area (investment value: 711 415 215 PLN including 255 000 000 PLN finansed from The Cohesion Fund).

Graduated from the Faculty of Electrical Engineering at Łódź Technical University. Since 1987 in Zakład Energetyczny Łódź-Teren he gained experience in organizing and directing thechnical activities in area of energy as Technical Manager, Chief Engineer and Director of Energy Area. Since 2007, Vice President, Director of Development and Maintenance in ZakładWodociągów i Kanalizacji „WOD.-KAN.” Spółka z o.o. in Bełchatów. In 2007, he was appointed by the Mayor of the Bełchatów Town to be an Agent for the Project Implementation (Measure Authorising Officer - MAO) for the project „Construction and modernization of water supply and sewage systems in the Bełchatów” covered by a contribution from the Cohesion Fund under the Operational Programme Infrastructure and Environment 2007-2013.

Work experience: : nearly 20 years of work, mainly in the financial and public financial sector, management of municipal enterprises. He led regional structures of leading banks (Kredyt Bank, Bank Gospodarki Żywnościowej) He was a Procurator on the Funds and Investment Financing Mechanisms of Mayor of Krakow City.Currently, as a President of the boards at Krakowski Holding Komunalny SA directs Poland's only municipal tax capital group consisting of companies from Cracow (Miejskie Przedsiębiorstwo Energetyki Cieplnej SA, Miejskie Przedsiębiorstwo Wodociągów i Kanalizacji SA, Miejskie Przedsiębiorstwo Komunikacyjne SA, Agencja Rozwoju Miasta SA) with he share capital of more than 1.3 billion złand total assets of over 3 billion zł. As Chairman of the Board KHK SA oversees the implementation process of one of the largest environmental investment in the country- construction of power plants - Waste Incineration Plant in Cracow. Mr. Ostrzołek deals with issues of regional development: He works in the Committee Monitoring Regional Operational Programme in Małopolska , he participated in the work of the Team-Committee Steering of the European Financial Mechanism in the Committe Monitoring the Operational Programme Innovative Economy on behalf of the Union of Polish Metropolises,Member of the Working Group on the Evaluation of the Operational Programme Innovative Economy, Member appointed by the Marshal of the Małopolska Region - Steering Committee for the drafting of the Waste Management Plan of the Małopolska Region. He lectures in the field of funds and European finance at the Cracow University of Technology. Mr. Ostrzołek is a co-author of "Nowe zarządzanie finansami publicznymi w warunkach kryzysu" (ang. The new management of public finances in the context of the crisis) (PWE) edited by. prof. S. Owsiak.

Andrzej Ptak graduated of the University of Science and Technology (AGH) in Krakow, Department of Materials Science and Ceramics, faculty of binders and concrete. Gerard Trompert has an engineering degree in Civil Engineering. For 12 years worked with MAN as European Sales Manager for Gas engines in Combined Heat and Power Plants. Next 4 years he spent in Zantingh Energy Systems as Manager of the Gas Turbine Group. For Turbomach Switzerland Mr. Trompert worked for 16 years as Managing Director for North West Europe. Since one year he's also active for Turbomach as Business Development Manager for Low BTU gasses in waste-to-energy sector.

Graduated from the University of Economics in Poznan Faculty of Production Economics. In 1990-1994 Deputy Mayor of Jarocin City,then President of the Przedsiębiorstwo Energetyki Cieplnej in Września. Since 2000, associated with the City of Poznan, first as Director of the City Engineer Department and since 2004 as a Director of the Department of Municipal and Housing. In 2008 she was appointed by the Mayor of Poznań Cityto be an Agent for the Project Implementation (Measure Authorising Officer - MAO) or the projec „The waste management system for the City of Poznań” covered by a contribution from the Cohesion Fund under the Operational Programme Infrastructure and Environment 2007-2013. Currently oversees the work of Project Implementation Unit "Waste Management System for the City of Poznan".

Currently in GH INTERTECH, Mr. Januszkiewicz is a leader of projects related to energy, metallurgy and waste incineration plants.
Thomas Jae-Young Park Thomas Jae - Young Park, Sales Manager in East European Waste to Energy Projects, POSCO Engineering & Construction
Mr. Thomas Jae-Young Park works for POSCO Engineering & Construction since 2011. He's responsible for a businesses to government offices and designer's business of waste disposal facilities for domestic and oversease. Mr. Park is also a Project Manager in Tender Procedure for Krakow Incineration Project and at the same is responsible for Sales Promotion in East European Waste to Energy Projects. Before joining POSCO E&C, he works in Hyosung Ebara Engineering Co., Ltd for almost 14 years. His main responsibilities were: planning for project and information management, business of waste matter and performing PM of turnkey bidding, performing window service and negotiation business for Japanese enterprises, performing negotiation for introduction of all kinds of foreign technology. Mr. Park starts his work experience in company Far East Kimoto in 1992 and than move to Jindo Construction Co., Ltd in 1995.
