Due to the rising interest in the future of cogeneration investments, CBE Polska is proud to organize 4th edition of the Seminar „Development Prospect of Cogeneration” - to be held on 24th of August 2016 in Warsaw.
The Seminar, as in the previous years, will be held in a form of lectures and discussions. The event will be a perfect opportunity to discuss the possibilities of investing in all types of cogeneration. Experts will analyze the profitability of invstments in individual plants construction and modernization, taking into account factors like: their size, location, selected technologies. They will comment on the impact of support schemes on the CHP development and focus on the prognosis reports estimating the reimbursement period – especially in reference to the upcoming „power market” policy implementation.
We invite to participate in the seminar the represenatatives of:
- power plants, CHP plants, municipal district heating
- industrial energy consumers (such as dairies, breweries, meat or fruit processing plants, warehouses, commercial centers, greenhouses, etc.)
- companies engaged in the construction / modernization of production capacity for its own needs
- sewage treatment plants
- non-industrial facilities with high demand for electricity and heat / cold (including large air-conditioned offices and residential buildings, hotels, swimming pools, hospitals)
- potential investors
- product and technology solutions suppliers
- consulting and engineering companies
- companies from industrial construction sector and industrial projects contractors
- financial institutions engaged in / interested in energy investments
- law firms
- government, local governments, trade chambers and associations
The cogeneration support systems, operating on red and yellow certificates, will continue until the end of 2018.
Cogeneration is the most efficient form of power generation, thus its support is one of the key elements of energy policy both in Poland and in EU. Cogeneration optimises the energy supply to all types of consumers, lowers CO2 emissions to the environment - making it the single biggest solution to the Kyoto targets, and provides platform for the development of renewable sources of energy. Most of all, it improves local and national security of energy supply – local generation, through cogeneration, can reduce the risk of consumers being left without supplies of electricity and/or heat, whereas, the reduced need for fuel - resulting from cogeneration - decreases import dependency.
Cogeneration is a recommended solution for all companies that require both electricity and heat to maintain their operational capabilities. Under the Energy Efficiency Directive, all EU countries are required to use energy more efficiently at all stages of the energy chain from its production to its final consumption, including monitoring and the analysis of efficiency levels in energy and heat cogeneration capacities.
Throughout all the workshops and conferences organized by CBE Polska since 2011 we have established contacts and relations with thousands of experts in the energy sector and related industries.
