Ladies and Gentlemen,
from 1st January this year Directive IED, which regulates the activities of environmental protection for energy operators of combustion installations that meet the criteria of a "large combustion sources" is effective. According to its tegulations (art. 28 and 29) the large sources are fuel combustion units (boilers) with power converted into fuel equal to and greater than 50 MW. The entry into force of the Directive IED determines the need to adapt to highly stringent emission standards.
On 25th November was held the official signing of the Directive MCP, by the President of the European Parliament Martin Schulz and the Council of the European Union, the minister Nicholas Schmit from Luxembourg. The Directive sets limits for emissions of dust, sulfur dioxide and nitrogen oxides, and introduces the monitoring of emissions of carbon monoxide (without setting emission limits) for combustion energy with power from 1 to 50 MW. These objects are used to generate heat (eg housing estates heating plants), electricity (power generators and small power plants) and some industrial processes.
We invite you to participate in the 3rd edition of the international conference "IED Forum", which will take place on 23-24th November 2016 in Warsaw.
