Graduated from the Faculty of Law and Administration at the Jagiellonian University . Since 7th January 2015 a legal trainee at the National Chamber of Legal Counsels in Krakow. Professionally engaged in contract verifications, preparation of legal information and analyses concerning medical law, commercial law, energy law and civil law. In his job, often makes use of the indispensable tool which is English language itself. His legal interests focus on issues related to the commercial law with the special emphasis on the competition law. Foreign languages: Italian and English. In private a fan of various sports disciplines (both individual and team ones) and an enthusiast of distant journeys with a big rucksack on his back.
Michal Obiegala Michał Obiegała, Government and Regulatory Manager at BP for Poland
He is responsible for developing and implementing BP’s regulatory strategy, public policy and government affairs in Poland. He is responsible for oversight of all regulatory matters affecting BP and risk management within corporate affairs, which also includes regulatory aspects of merger & acquisitions. Michał sits on BP’s Leadership Team. Michał joined the Polish operations of BP in April 2018. Prior to joining BP, Michał held several positions in corporate affairs, public policy and legal, including Liberty Global CEE operations and Clifford Chance. Michał graduated in law and holds a Master Degree in Law from the Adam Mickiewicz University of Poznań. He also holds a Postgraduate Degree in European Advanced Studies from the College of Europe. He is a legal advisor admitted to practice in the EU.

Andre Paula Santos André Paula Santos, Public Affairs Director, EBB - European Biodiesel Board
André Paula Santos joined the EBB as Public Affairs Director in April 2016. He represents the EBB and lobbies on its priorities and positions towards the European institutions.André develops common policy positions inside EBB as well as with external stakeholders and coalitions, and is now mainly focused on the implementation of the EU post-2020 Renewable Energy Directive, the recently published European Green Deal and its implications for the European biodiesel industry. Prior to joining the EBB, André worked for several years as a consultant in the company Interel European Affairs, tending to clients in the energy, environment and transport sectors, with a strong focus on biofuels issues. He also served as the Policy & Legal Adviser for the UEIL – Union of European Lubricants Association. Before is time at Interel, André had stints at the European Shippers’ Council and FuelsEurope, the European Petroleum Industry Association, where his work and interest in biofuels began. He is a qualified lawyer, and holds a Law degree and a Master’s in Administrative Law and Procurement. Prior to moving to Brussels, André worked for various law firms in Portugal focused on public law and policy. In addition to his native Portuguese, André speaks fluent English and Spanish, as well as some French and Italian.
Emmanuel Desplechinn Emmanuel Desplechinn, Secretary General, ePURE - European renewable ethanol
Emmanuel leads the ePURE team, which he first joined in 2013 as Director of Government Affairs responsible for energy and environmental affairs. Before coming to ePURE, Emmanuel was Senior Manager for Public Affairs with Novozymes. His career in public affairs and advocacy also includes positions with UNICA, the Brazilian Sugarcane Industry Association, and the Industrial Ethanol Association. He holds a Master's Degree from the Institute of Political Studies of Bordeaux and an LL.M in European Law from the University Carlos III of Madrid. A French citizen, Emmanuel also speaks English and Spanish.
Ylwa Alwarsdotter Ylwa Alwarsdotter, Executive Vice President and Strategic Business Developer, Sekab BioFuels & Chemicals
Ylwa represents Sekab internationally and often writes on Sekab’s blog about the advancement of the bioeconomy in Sweden and Europe. A dedicated environmentalist, Ylwa joined Sekab in 2001. Today she heads up Sekab’s strategic market development, primarily focusing on the areas of chemicals and biofuel. Ylwa is a board member of the European Chemical Industry Council, and shuttles between her Örnsköldsvik base in Sweden and Brussels to provide expertise to the EU. In 2019, web magazine Il Bioeconomista listed Ylwa for the third consecutive year as one of the women in the world that has had most impact on the development of the global bioeconomy. She is a civil engineer, educated at the Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm. Her hands-on experience in the industry coupled with her international knowledge of the policy and regulatory aspects of the bioeconomy makes Ylwa a unique voice in the global drive towards a bioeconomy. She is often engaged as a speaker and advisor.

Author of over 70 research papers in the field of motor fuels, biofuels, and environmental impact assessment. Expert of the Polish Committee for Standardization in the European Committee for Standardization CEN / TC 383 / WG 3 Biodiversity and environmental aspects. Member of Technical Committee No. 144 Coke and Processed Solid Fuels of the Polish Committee for Standardization. Expert on behalf of the Polish Committee for Standardization in CEN / TC19 - Work Group WG 23 "Specification of automotive LPG and related test methods.
Paolo Corvo Paolo Corvo, Head of Sales & Marketing, Clariant
Paolo joined Clariant, a focused and innovative specialty chemical company based near Basel/ Switzerland, in 2012. As Head of Sales & Marketing Business Line Biofuels & Derivatives he oversees the out-licensing of sunliquid’s cellulosic ethanol and sugar production plants. From 2005-12 Paolo worked as Business Development Manager for Biofuels Partners, an Italian consultancy with specific expertise in the bioliquid and biodiesel sector. Prior to joining Biofuels Partners, he worked for Aon Insurance in Milan and Rotterdam as an Internal Auditor and later as a Business Development Manager focusing on the renewable energy sector. Paolo graduated in 2000 from the Politecnico di Milano with a degree in Management and Production Engineering, before completing his internship at McKinsey & Company in Milan as a Business Analyst.
Adam Stepien Adam Stępień, Director General, National Chamber of Biofuels
Adam is a graduate of the Gdynia Maritime University where he specialised in business management, and holds a master’s degree in Business Administration from the School of Banking at the University of Northampton. In 1998-2003, he worked in management positions in the banking and financial sector. For 13 years he has been associated with certification of management systems. In 2002-2007, he was the lead auditor in the Office of Certification at PRS S.A. In 2007-2015, he served as Director of the Certification and Audit Section of SGS Polska Sp. z o.o. Since 2012, he has been Regional Director for Central and Eastern Europe and has also been involved in international projects in the corporate structures of the SGS Group. Since 2014, he has been a founder and shareholder of BIOCONTROL Sp. z o.o. and co-creator of the National Standard for the Authentication of Biomass. He is a co-creator of the program to administer the system of SNS certification and the draft of the National Census for Biomass Authentication - www.ksub.pl, which to this day are the most frequently chosen solutions for the authentication of the supply chain of biomass for energy purposes. He is currently a member of the Technical Committee to develop the private standard SWP-SNS: 2015 Forestry and AGRO Biomass Verification System. Currently he is also a member and founder of Polish Pellet Council.

Prior he started working in PLL LOT, he was a Key Account Manager for Eurolot and PLL LOT in a private company from the Aviation sector. He was fully responsible for preparing operators for EU ETS audit and to carry out all tasks in reference to the system. Currently, he is a Fuel Manager and focuses on the coordination of all fuel processes in LOT. He also conducts activities to implement the best principles in the fuel efficiency policy.

From June 2019 - President-General Director of the Polish Organization of Petroleum Industry and Trade. Lawyer by education, he graduated from the Faculty of Law and Administration at the University of Warsaw and the Center for English and European Law. He was active in the spirits industry for over 14 years. In the years 2009-2018 he was the President of the Management Board of the Association of Employers of the Polish Spirit Industry. In the years 2009-2011 he was the Vice-President of spiritsEurope in Brussels. For several years he was involved in the development of corporate social responsibility. He led, among others a number of social campaigns: "Have you been drinking? Don't drive a car! "," A better start for your child "," Stop illegal alcohol "and participated in international projects aimed at reducing the" gray zone "in cooperation among others from the International Center for Alcohol Policy and the UN Global Compact. In 2013, he received the silver badge "Distinguished for Customs Service". He is the author of the book "From booze to vodka. Outline of the history of Polish vodka "(2010) and several dozen articles in industry magazines (e.g." Bimbrownica - yesterday and today ", PFIOW of 2010).

Co-creator of Slovnaft Polska’s success on Polish and European market, the company in which she has been working continuously since 1998 - currently as the Head of  sales and sales support department.
