We are pleased to announce that Paul Stapleton, Managing Director of Northern Ireland Electricity Networks (NIE Networks),will give a lecture during the 9th edition of "Smart Communications & Technology Forum - power grid inventory" which will take place on 27th February 2020 in Warsaw. In his presentation "Progressing a smart distribution system in a small peripheral region” he will discuss context for the electricity system in Northern Ireland and enabling the energy transition through greater access to the distribution network. Speaker will also discuss enabling and connecting high levels of wind generation and will answer the question: smart grid without smart metering?
